Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Complete Trash Services. These Terms and Conditions explain how our waste removal and trash pickup services work, including plans, payments, cancellations, and service rules.
Complete Trash Limited ("Complete Trash", "we", "us", "our") provides waste, recycling, green waste, and Pay As You Go (PAYG) collection services subject to these Terms & Conditions ("T&Cs"). By signing up for, using, or continuing to use our services, you agree to these T&Cs and all policies referenced below.
These T&Cs are designed to align with New Zealand law, including (without limitation) the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, Privacy Act 2020, Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, Waste Minimisation Act 2008, and applicable local council bylaws in Marton and surrounding areas.
These T&Cs should be read together with the following policies and terms:
1. Our Services
1.1 Complete Trash provides scheduled and on-demand waste-related services, including general waste, recycling, green waste, and PAYG services.
1.2 Service details such as pricing, collection frequency, accepted materials, and service areas are set out on our website or in the relevant Service Terms.
1.3 We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue services where reasonably required, including for operational, safety, or regulatory reasons.
2. Customer Responsibilities
2.1 Customers must ensure bins, bags, or PAYG stickers are:

Presented at the correct location and by the required time

Easily accessible and unobstructed

Not overloaded, compacted, or contaminated
2.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring all waste complies with applicable laws, council bylaws, and the relevant Service Terms.
3. Bins & Equipment
3.1 All bins, containers, and equipment supplied by Complete Trash remain the property of Complete Trash at all times.
3.2 Customers must take reasonable care of bins and must not:

Damage, modify, paint, or label bins

Allow unauthorised third-party use

Use bins for prohibited waste
3.3 Customers are responsible for loss, theft, or damage beyond fair wear and tear while bins are in their possession.
3.4 We may charge repair, cleaning, replacement, or recovery fees where bins are misused, damaged, lost, or not returned following cancellation.

4. Prohibited & Contaminated Waste
4.1 Prohibited waste includes (without limitation): hazardous materials, liquids, hot ashes, medical waste, chemicals, asbestos, batteries, and e-waste unless expressly approved in writing.
4.2 We may refuse collection, suspend service, or apply additional charges where bins are contaminated or contain prohibited waste.
5. PAYG Stickers
5.1 PAYG stickers are required for certain one-off or ad-hoc services, as outlined in the relevant Service Terms.
5.2 PAYG stickers are non-refundable, except where required by law (see Refund Policy.
5.3 Stickers must be clearly visible and correctly applied. Incorrect use may result in non-collection.
6. Pricing, Billing & Payments
6.1 Pricing is as displayed on our website or agreed at signup and may change with reasonable notice.
6.2 Failure to pay may result in service suspension, late fees, or debt recovery action.
6.3 All prices are in NZD and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
7. Promotions & Discounts
7.1 Promotions, discounts, and special offers are subject to specific terms and are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless required by law.
7.2 Promotional benefits may be forfeited if services are cancelled early.
8. Missed Collections
8.1 Missed collections must be reported within 48 hours.
8.2 No remedy is available where a missed collection results from customer error, access issues, contamination, or events beyond our control.
9. Suspension & Cancellation
9.1 Customers may cancel services in accordance with the applicable Service Terms.
9.2 Upon cancellation, all bins must be made available for retrieval.
9.3 We may suspend or terminate services immediately for non-payment, repeated contamination, safety risks, or breach of these T&Cs.
10. Liability & Consumer Rights
10.1 Nothing in these T&Cs limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 for residential customers.
10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Privacy
11.1 Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
12.1 We may update these T&Cs from time to time. The latest version will apply from the date published on our website.
13. Governing Law
These T&Cs are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
